Get Involved, Volunteer

Since 2016 we have hosted over 700 volunteers from more than 45 different countries.
We are always looking for volunteers who are open-minded, comfortable working as part of a team and passionate about helping vulnerable populations. Previous experience in education or working with children, Arabic language skills and an International Driving Permit are especially useful.

If you want to gain field experience and support our projects on the ground in Lebanon, you can read our information pack and apply below.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Internships

If you want to come and volunteer as part of an internship, please apply at least one month before your intended arrival. Please note that although we support internships, you will live alongside and work on the same tasks as our other international volunteers. Please send applications/emails of interest to info@salamladc.org. We can provide a letter of reference confirming the dates that you were with us and a summary of what you did during that time. If your institution requires additional documentation, please be sure to mention this in your email of interest.

Whether you are a new or returning volunteer, please read our latest information pack, linked below, before applying. It provides comprehensive information on the process, expectations, costs and requirements for volunteering with us in Lebanon.

Volunteer with SALAM LADC-2026

SALAM LADC is opening a call for volunteers to support our community-based, humanitarian, educational, social cohesion, and operational work across Lebanon.

Everyone is welcome to apply. However, our current priority is to receive volunteers with skills, interest, or experience in the following areas:

  • Communications and social media
  • Fundraising and donor research
  • Administration and office support
  • Education support
  • Facilitation and community activities

Volunteers play an important role in supporting SALAM LADC’s local team and contributing to safe, respectful, and meaningful activities with the communities we serve. Depending on the role, volunteers may support project activities, communication tasks, administrative work, education sessions, community events, documentation, or other tasks based on organizational needs.

Volunteer placements are assigned according to current projects, available opportunities, safeguarding requirements, location, skills, experience, and availability. All selected volunteers are expected to respect SALAM LADC’s values, policies, code of conduct, confidentiality, and safeguarding standards.

Before applying, please read the Volunteer Guide carefully to understand the role, expectations, living arrangements, safety guidance, and application requirements.
