During this cold winter in Lebanon, our hearts remain warm — because inside them we carry the faces and stories of families who are too often unheard: the children who play around our community center, the mothers working long days in the fields, and the elderly sitting quietly at the doors of tents and fragile homes.
This winter, we invite you to stand with them — not out of pity, but out of shared humanity. We believe every family has the right to feel warm, to access nutritious meals, and to have proper clothing. Together, we can bring warmth, dignity, and learning to refugee families in Bekaa and Mount Lebanon.
Salam LADC is a Lebanese non-profit association established to support vulnerable communities across Lebanon and to strengthen dialogue, cooperation, and social cohesion. From its early beginnings in the South, Salam LADC has grown into a nationwide organization delivering community-based programs that respond to urgent needs while investing in long-term resilience.
Today, Salam works across multiple sectors, including education, livelihoods, social stability, food security, and emergency response. In 2025, we supported informal education for more than 1,000 children and more than 70 women, and our community kitchen distributions reached more than 25,000 individuals.
Our work combines emergency support with practical, locally rooted initiatives — especially for youth and families — implemented in close coordination with municipalities and community actors.
Over the years, Salam LADC has also become a platform that connects people who want to help with communities that need support. Through collaboration with international volunteers, grassroots initiatives, and partners, Salam LADC has expanded its reach and strengthened the quality and sustainability of its programs. Today, Salam’s work is carried out by dedicated local teams supported by a wider network of allies who share the same belief: dignity, safety, and opportunity should not depend on nationality, status, or circumstance.
Salam LADC supports vulnerable populations in Lebanon by delivering direct assistance and facilitating coordinated community action. We work to provide timely, effective, and practical support — especially in moments of crisis — while promoting inclusion and strengthening relationships between communities.
Our vision is a Lebanon where vulnerable families can meet their basic needs, children can learn and grow in safe environments, and communities can live together with greater understanding and cooperation.
Winter in Lebanon is especially harsh for refugee families living in poverty and unstable housing. In the cold months, families face impossible choices between heating, food, rent, and healthcare. Children are among the most affected — unsafe shelters and financial stress interrupt learning, limit development, and increase protection risks.
Needs Snapshot (Lebanon & Bekaa): UNICEF has highlighted the seriousness of winter hardship and the education crisis, including households lacking adequate heating sources and large numbers of children out of school due to years of compounded crises. Bekaa indicators remain especially alarming in terms of vulnerability during winter.
This Winter Campaign focuses on two urgent priorities in Bekaa and Mount Lebanon:
We will help families cope with the cold season through essential winterization support and basic household necessities, based on assessed needs and available resources.
$10 — General winter support
Helps cover the most urgent needs where support is needed most (winter supplies, learning materials, or delivery/logistics).
$30 — Warm jacket
Provides a warm jacket for a child or adolescent to stay protected during the winter months (procured based on assessed needs and availability).
$65 — Heating stove
Supports a household with a heating stove to cope with winter cold (based on priority needs and safe distribution criteria).
$100 — Student learning cycle
Covers one child’s informal education cycle, including learning materials and participation in structured sessions in a safe learning environment.
$150 — Family winter kit
Provides essential winter items for one family, such as warm supplies and basic household winter needs (based on assessed needs and availability).
$250 — Learning group support (up to 40 sessions)
Supports a learning group through a full series of sessions (up to 40 sessions), including materials, session readiness, and safe space support.
$500 — Community reach boost
Helps extend assistance to more families by covering delivery and operational costs (transportation, coordination, and program implementation support).
Your donation will help refugee families stay warmer and help children continue learning during the winter months. Every contribution matters — whether it supports winter essentials, learning materials, safe activities, or operational readiness to reach families quickly.
Donate. Share. Encourage others.
Campaign duration: 20 January 2026 – 6 April 2026. Donors receive an automatic receipt and periodic updates on progress and results.
