Social Stability

As Lebanon’s economic crisis worsens, relations between the Lebanese host population and Syrian refugees continue to deteriorate. Social stability activities aim to reduce tensions and causes of conflict between communities throughout the country, primarily through encouraging inter-community dialogue and improving resilience.

Women and children in particular are vulnerable to the unstable economic situation in Lebanon, leading to negative effects on their mental and physical health. Salam LADC’s Community Centre provides a safe space for them to learn, socialize and acquire social skills, strengthening resilience whilst also providing opportunities for communication in a safe environment.
